Freyja here, celebrating the full moon eve here in Oregon with simple rest and memories of this red rosy bath from the weekend. Some of the last of the year, I'm sure, the weather warm, the grasshoppers afoot and I'm setting intentions for the waning, illumination of love, which sometimes comes quietly in the darker places, clarity and easy movement in the night, creativity and clear voice, even if it is only my own inner voice. What about you lovelies? Dear ones, does this full moon speak to the other divas of the world?
Sister Durga in Colorado is setting up to make plant essences by this light and serenade. All alchemy, to separate and join together. I will read about deep root stories, like Root Worker by Edward P. Jones, to prepare for the coming journey, for our workshop at the beginning of the new moon cycle, October 3-5. I can't wait, it is titled Tending the Heart of Joy for a reason, indeed, and this inner edge, this sweet turning autumn energy is pulling me close, holding.
What does boldness look like when the nights get longer? How can we care for ourselves best in this season? Or, as Grace Paley says, "the real question is, how are we to live our lives?"
Sweet moon dreams, sweet awaking.
